COVID-19 Response

As we all learn to navigate through these challenging times, we first and foremost want to thank all of the first responders and essential employees who continue to serve our communities; doctors, nurses, firefighters, police officers, retail personnel, farmers, and manufacturing employees are just some of the people who bravely continue to show up to work every day so that others may be healed, protected, cared for, and fed. All of us here at Axium Foods are grateful for your dedication and your service.

Our top priority has always been the safety of our employees, business partners, and consumers. That focus continues now more than ever and as we traverse this new landscape, we feel it’s important to share with you the many safety and precautionary measures we’re taking to protect us all.

  • Until further notice, visitors are not allowed into our facilities except in emergency situations.
  • Hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes, in addition to many handwashing stations, are dispersed throughout our facilities for everyone to use.
  • Masks are required for all employees and emergency visitors.
  • Face shields are required for certain personnel and available to all, and must be worn in conjunction with masks.
  • Social distancing signs are posted throughout our facility and reinforced with lines marked on the floors in certain areas.
  • Additional break areas have been created, along with limited seating and capacity limits in these areas to help ensure social distancing.
  • Acrylic barriers have been installed in high-risk areas.
  • All meetings requiring four or more people must be held via conference calls.
  • Increased cleaning and sanitizing are taking place in all areas of our facilities, including high-use areas and contact surfaces such as breakrooms, bathrooms, doorknobs, copiers, etc.
  • Mini paper towel dispensers have been installed at all entryways to increase sanitary measures.
  • We continue to monitor the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) websites along with our local authorities for new information and then communicate that information to our employees.

In response to an employee who was exhibiting symptoms of the coronavirus and others who had come in exposure to it during the week of April 12th, we took the precautionary measure of shutting down our production facility for 2 weeks, with a planned start-up on May 4th. While this shutdown is in order, a mass cleaning of our facility is taking place. All of this has been done with the safety of our employees the priority in our minds.

When production resumes, we’ll maintain all of the precautionary measures we have in place and monitor any further room for improvement that comes our way. We are committed to continuing to produce safe, quality snack products while maintaining to strive to do our best to keep all of our employees, our business partners, and our consumers safe.

From all of us here at Axium Foods, we thank you for your continued support and ask that you stay safe as well.
